Modeling the Environment

Modeling the Environment: Techniques and Tools for the 3d Illustration of Dynamic Landscapes (Wiley: 2012) is a book, co-authored with Associate Professor Bradley Cantrell (director, MLA Harvard Graduate School of Design), focused on the development of time-based illustrations and animations that highlight the dynamic nature of landscape processes. Through it we explore how these can be integrated into the design workflow and demonstrate specific examples of how to do so. This book has served as an a much needed resource for students where none existed previously.
